Homer residents victims of gas scam

Would you pay 10 installments that in total amount to almost $4,000 for something that you would never use or want? I find myself doing just that for the natural gas tax assessment.

If I sat on the street corner with a hat, would I get donations from sympathetic citizens to help fund my payments? How about if I go door to door to all who voted for natural gas and ask them to buy one of my paintings? Should I grow wings and fly? Which is the most likely option.

The citizens of Homer have been scammed. Or do you have an extra $4,000 or so that you can comfortably throw away?
