Senior Portrait: Zach Marley

Homer News is spotlighting local high school students

Senior Zach Marley has lived in Homer all 18 years of his life. At Homer High School he has participated in DDF (drama, debate and forensics), baseball, student government, National Honor Society and ScoutBSA.

In his four years of DDF, Zach has enjoyed the lively culture of the club. He appreciates his role models, talented debaters such as Larry Dunn and Calvin Ureda, and enjoys mentoring newcomers.

After graduating, Zach plans to attend Colorado School of Mines and study aerospace engineering. He lives by a quote that his grandfather shared and attributed to Norman Vincent Peale: “Shoot for the moon. You might not land where you expect, but at least you’ll land among the stars.”
