Rose Ann Greer

Aug. 27, 1943-July 4, 2022

Rose Ann Greer went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2022. Ann was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Harold and Rosaleen Dusenbery on Aug. 27, 1943. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family, who were the focus of her life.

A funeral service will be held in the Homer Hickerson Memorial Cemetery on Diamond Ridge Road at noon on Friday, July 22, 2022.

Ann was married on June 9, 1962 in Anchorage, Alaska, to her loving husband of 60 years, Jim Greer. They had met in a baby crib 19 years earlier, as infants.

She always told her Grandpa she wanted to be a pioneer woman, and her life reflected that. Ann and Jim lived on their family homestead and had many Alaskan adventures. She had a passion for dip netting and enjoyed canning fish and making wonderful wild berry jams. They were both active in the Homer Nazarene Church, where Ann had the honor of being the cookie lady.

Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim Greer; son Eugene Greer; and his wife Cathleen; son, Daniel Greer of Homer; son, Brent Greer and his wife, Tracy; and grandson Cody of Soldotna, granddaughter Maggie of Anchorage, and daughter Tracy Moulton and her husband, Terrell, of Denver; brother, Tom Dusenbery and his wife, Karen, of Birchwood; and sister, Jen Reynoldson and her husband, John, of Kenai; Aunt Louise Dusenbery of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
