Zini Cuka

Sept. 1, 1963 – July 9, 2021

Zini Cuka, a loving life partner, son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew and friend to many near and far, passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 57 on Friday, July 9, 2021 at his home in Homer, Alaska.

Zini was born Sept. 1, 1963 in Korce’, Albania, to Besim Cuka and the late Trëndafile Cuka. Zini came to America in January of 1991. He is survived by his life partner, Rochelle Jimerson; father, Besim Cuka; brother, Viktor Cuka and wife Zana, their children Gernand and Erald; sister, Violeta Cuka, her children Atnan, Valbona and Ervin; cousin, Astrit Cuka and wife Sofia. All of their children and many other family members and friends in Europe, Alaska, Texas, Florida and abound whom he loved, cared about deeply and talked about often.

Zini was a beautiful man inside and out. He had a kind heart, a solid shoulder to lean on, an intent ear, heartfelt words of advice, an infectious smile, laugh, kind spirit and a true meaningful hug that will forever be remembered and held in his loved ones hearts. He had a way of making you feel special. He was truly a unique man and will forever be missed.

Zini will be laid to rest in his home country Korce’, Albania, next to his loving mother who he missed deeply. A Celebration of Zini’s Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 11 (9:11 a special time). Time and place will be posted at a later date. Te’ dua shume Lovey. Until we meet again.
