At the Homer City Council meeting on March 28, Poppy Benson speaks in support of council members Donna Aderhold, David Lewis and Catriona Reynolds, the targets of a movement to recall them. Many of the 100 people attending Tuesday's meeting held paper hearts to show support for the three council members. One woman held a sign that said, "Let's recall hatred." Recall organizers have targeted the three because they sponsored Resolution 17-019, the inclusivity resolution. "I would hate to think any faction in our city would go after you," Benson said to Aderhold, Lewis and Reynolds. "It is very unfortunate the city is going to be put through this. I would like to express my support for all three of you who are the target of a vicious action." Tess Dally also spoke in support of the three council members as well as the council and the mayor.
