Cycle Logical bicycle shop holds its grand opening celebration Friday at its new location on Pioneer Avenue. A formal Homer Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center ribbon cutting is at 3:30 p.m. followed by food and festivities until 7 p.m. Entrants in the Mariner Triatlon also can pick up bibs from 4-6 p.m.

Owned by Derek and Catriona Reynolds, Cycle Logical purchased the old Homer Trading Post building last December. The couple spent the winter renovating the old building, adding a new porch and entryway and other improvements. Cycle Logical opened at its new location in May, moving from its former spot in a shopping complex on East End Road near Kachemak Gear Shed.

Cycle Logical sells new road, mountain and fat bikes as well as accessories. It also does rentals, shuttles and beach tours.
