The Mariners on the Move for the most recent quarter at Homer High School have been announced.

Each Homer High faculty member selects one outstanding student per year based on scholarship and character. The students, their families and the nominating teachers attended a celebration on Oct. 10 in the high school library. First quarter winners are:

· Austin Shafford – nominated by Ms. Tetor

· Johnathan Mitchell – nominated by Ms. Mall

· Maya Kelly – nominated by Mrs. Borland

· Anthony Melkomukov – nominated by Mr. Stineff

· Caleb Evans – nominated by Mr. Akers

· Olivia Smith – nominated by Mr. Pitzman

· Ethan Carroll – nominated by Mr. Tozzo
