Gordon Elgin Giles

Seldovia resident Gordon Elgin Giles, 81, went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2021, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Seldovia Cemetery. A potluck will follow at the Seldovia Bible Chapel.
Gordon was born Nov. 4, 1939, in Okanogan, Washington. He later moved to Seldovia to follow his dad’s footsteps as a commercial fisherman.
He was known as a jack of all trades, fixing things and helping others when needed. He loved and served the Lord faithfully.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carlena; his five children, Tina Haugstad of Olney, Montana, Virginia Johnson, Mark Giles, Gordon A. Giles and Kay Huff all of Soldotna; sister, Peggy Boscacci of Stockton, California.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
