The host Homer boys soccer team defeated Nikiski 15-0 on Friday in Peninsula Conference action.

The Mariners are 1-1-1 in the league and 3-2-1 overall, while the Bulldogs are 0-3-0 and 0-3-0.

Homer head coach Tyler Jeffres wrote in a text message that 15 different players scored goals. Walden Krazeski and Gabriel Bradshaw combined for the shutout.

Nikiski head coach Horst Haunold wrote that Emily Brannen was a bright spot in goal, while Frank Nasibog once again had a solid game.

The Bulldogs had 11 players at the game.

“It is hard to play short-handed and Homer has a very good, disciplined team,” Haunold wrote.
