Bunnell starts Emergency Artist Fund

Bunnell Street Arts Center has started an Emergency Artist Fund as well as a Postcard Project to thank those working for human health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Artists are invited to create Mail Art postcards for those who work in critical services. The theme is “My art loves your art.” Send handmade 4×6 postcards to Bunnell Street Arts Center, 106 W. Bunnell Ave., Suite A, Homer, AK 99603 USA.

“Creating art heals, connects and inspires us in times of isolation and challenge,” a press release from Bunnell said.

People also are invited to contribute to an emergency fund for artists who have lost work due to program cancellations (exhibits, residencies, Artist in Schools, workshops, concerts, performances, tours, talks, readings and classes). Receive a hand-made postcard for giving to this fund. To make contributions, visit https://bunnell-street-arts-center.square.site/product/emergency-artist-fund.
