Pier One holds auditions

Pier One Theatre will hold auditions for “Haunted Shakespeare: A Walk in the Woods with the Murdered, Ghosts, and Otherworldly Creatures.”

Auditions are from 6-9 p.m. Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday by appointment at the Pratt Museum. Call 907-226-2287 or email sarah@pieronetheatre.org to make an appointment. Masks are required.

“Haunted Shakespeare” will be held Oct. 16, 17 and 18 on the Pratt Museum trails. Roles inlcudes staitionary spooky statues to full scenes from Shakespeare’s plays.

World Arts Fest is Sept. 11-24

The Alaska World Arts Festival starts Sept. 11 and runs through Sept. 24.

In light of the pandemic, many events will be held virtually, with some local events held live. Virtual events includes art, comedy, music, acting and writing workshops; storytelling; and live music, poetry readings and a drama slam.
