Homer Police

May 3

Homer Police at 1:13 p.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of an unsafe driver. Police contacted the suspect, a 60-year-old Homer man, and arrested him for driving while license revoked.

May 4

Police at 6:53 p.m. arrested a 70-year-old Homer man and charged him with violating a protective order and violating conditions of release.

May 9

Police at 12:25 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 23-year-old Alberta, Canada, man and arrested him for driving under the influence. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Police at 6:42 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 31-year-old Florida man and arrested him for DUI. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Alaska State Troopers

May 5

Alaska State Troopers at 9:25 a.m. received a REDDI report that a 41-year-old Homer man drove drunk on East End Road. Police stopped the driver and arrested him for DUI and driving with a revoked license. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Troopers at 8:17 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 21-year-old Ninilchik man near Mile 148 Sterling Highway and issued him a summons for driving while license revoked.

Troopers at 9:03 p.m. made a traffic stop in Anchor Point on a 57-year-old Anchor Point woman. They issued her a summons for driving while license suspended, no insurance and new owner-failure to transfer title.

May 6

Troopers and Homer Police at 7:47 p.m. went to a disturbance near Mile 8 East End Road. Following an investigation, troopers determined during an argument about chickens and dogs, a 65-year-old Homer woman threatened a neighbor with a handgun. Troopers arrested the woman for third-degree assault and first-degree trespassing and took her to the Homer Jail.

Troopers at 6:54 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 32-year-old Anchorage man near Mile 140 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik for speeding. They arrested him for DUI and took him to the Homer Jail.

May 7

Troopers at 4:20 p.m. made a traffic stop for speeding on a 43-year-old Anchorage man near Mile 161 Sterling Highway. Troopers issued the man citations for improper use of plates and no motor vehicle liability insurance. Troopers determined the passenger, a 43-year-old Anchorage man, had an outstanding warrant and arrested him.
