Longtime Homer resident GayLynn Klopp, 70, passed away at her home in the early morning hours of Aug. 9, 2022. She was surrounded by her husband and close friends.

A celebration of her life will be held in the near future.

GayLynn was born Dec. 5, 1951 in El Paso, Texas. She arrived in Homer in 1981, where she acquired work in the tourism industry before opening her own business. She retired from SBS as a design specialist in 2017.

GayLynn’s interests were many including making her own Christmas decorations. Her passion was riding her Harley with her husband and friends. She was a former member of the Emblem Club in Homer.

GayLynn will be missed by everyone that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and older sister.

GayLynn is survived by her husband, Richard Klopp of Homer; son, Justin Erickson; grandson, Clayton Erickson; granddaughters, Brook, Rose and Phoenix Erickson, all of Vancouver, Wash.; and brothers, John Lutes of Vancouver, Wash., and Mic Webster of Laguna Hills, Calif.
