A caller at 2 p.m. reported a theft from an East End Road business.

A caller at 7:46 p.m. reported a man walking by the side of Main Street who swung a flashlight at her car as she drove by.

Jan. 28

A woman at 1:26 a.m. made a 911 call that a drunk man tried to get into her Klondike Avenue home and her car. Police responded and took the man into protective custody.

A man at 12:57 p.m. reported a dog had been hit on East End Road and was dead on the side of the road. Police notified animal control.

A caller at 7:16 p.m. reported a woman on Klondike Avenue screaming and breaking glass. Police contacted the woman and she agreed to clean up the glass. Police advised her to keep the noise down for the evening.

Jan. 29

An employee at 1:01 p.m. reported possible shoplifting at a Lake Street store. Police responded.

A man at 10:03 a.m. reported finding two outboard motor gas cans in the brush by the airport beach.

A man at 3:19 p.m. reported an injured eagle near the Sterling Highway. Police notified the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Police at 3:37 p.m. contacted a 38-year-old man on Pioneer Avenue. The man had an outstanding warrant and police arrested him.

A man at 3:46 p.m. reported a theft from a Fairview Avenue building.

A woman at 6:14 p.m. reported a hit-and-run accident on Ohlson Lane.

Police at 10:56 p.m. removed a gas jug from the road near Mile 170 Sterling Highway.

A caller at 11:14 a.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Jenny Way address. Police responded and arrested a 22-year-old man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

A caller at 1:18 p.m. reported drugs found on school property at Homer High School.

A man at 1:41 p.m. reported finding drug paraphernalia at the Mud Bay beach.

A caller at 2:56 p.m. reported an expected death at home of a 101-year-old woman.

An official from the Colorado Department of Corrections at 3:13 p.m. reported a fugitive from justice might be in the Homer area.

A caller at 7 p.m. reported a person sleeping at a Heath Street business.

Police at 8:42 p.m. served a temporary restraining order on a 46-year-old man and also arrested him for failure to update his sex-offender registration.

Jan. 31

A woman at 10 a.m. made a 911 call of a two-car crash with damage on Pioneer Avenue. Police responded.

A man at 2:30 p.m. reported missing prescription medicine.

A woman at 5:02 p.m. reported a person refused to give back her key to her apartment.

Feb. 1

A caller at 8 a.m. reported a break-in at a Pioneer Avenue business.

A man at noon reported a person threw a beer bottle out of a moving car on the Sterling Highway. Police stopped the suspect vehicle and did not find any alcohol. The driver denied littering.

A caller at 12:44 p.m. reported a break-in at a Pioneer Avenue business.

A woman at 2:58 p.m. reported sickly seal on the Spit. Police notified the Alaska SeaLife Center.

A caller at 3:24 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on the Sterling Highway. Police stopped the driver and arrested a person for a probation violation.

A caller at 4:01 p.m. reported an injured eagle at a Mount Augustine Drive address. Police notified the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

A woman at 4:44 p.m. reported a man with a child acted oddly on Bishop’s Beach. Police responded but could not find the man.

A man at 6:35 p.m. reported vehicles off-roading near Mile 172.5 Sterling Highway.

A woman at 7:30 p.m. reported receiving harassing text messages.

A caller at 11:59 p.m. reported cars speeding on Bishop’s Beach.

Feb. 2

A man at 7:23 p.m. reported an aggressive dog at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and also notified animal control.

A caller at 9:02 p.m. reported seeing hovering orange lights in the Kachemak Way area.

A man at 8:58 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on his wife at a Sterling Highway address. Police checked on the woman and found her to be OK.
