Pet of the Week: Shady

Shady is a 2-year-old female.

“I’ve had a rough start to my life, but I haven’t lost hope or trust in people. I’m as sweet as can be and waiting patiently for my turn at a home. My one shining, white whisker sets me apart from the other black cats in here, plus my loving personality and mellowness bring a calmness to the room. However, I must say that I am getting sad that I am still here and starting to withdraw, so if you need a little love in your life, look no farther!”

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m.-4 pm. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
