Pets of the week

Mikey is a 9-year-old cat and Darla is a 7-year-old cat. They’re a wonderful pair of older cats just looking for a relaxing home. Don’t let their ages fool you though — they still have a lot of life left in them. Mikey has meds he has to take daily, but he’s a champ and his routine is easy. They would love nothing more than to find a favorite spot on the back of a couch or a windowsill with the sun beating down on them, or maybe on a cat bed near the wood stove. Can you open your heart and home to these two?

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
