State Trooper Report

Troopers

Sept. 14

Alaska State Troopers at 4:02 p.m. received a call from a 63-year-old New Mexico man saying he and his wife, also 63, had become injured while hiking from North Fork Road in Anchor Point. LifeMed Alaska responded by helicopter, but troopers did not know if the helicopter could find a suitable landing zone in the area. Anchor Point troopers responded by ground. LifeMed found the couple and a landing zone. Troopers met with the couple and the LifeMed team. The couple were flown to South Peninsula Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
