Ellington named October Phoenix Award recipient

The October recipient of the Homer Flex High School Phoenix Award is Lilli Ellington.

Each month, the school staff choose a student to receive the Homer Flex Phoenix Award based on their embodiment of the school’s values: respect, productivity and ownership.

Lilli, a junior, has become a reliable and appreciated member of the Flex community who embodies many important Flex values. She is a leader in class discussions, and frequently has something to contribute. With keen insight and a strong work ethic, Lilli is able to achieve at high levels – she isn’t just in class, she’s engaged and involved, and challenges herself to learn something more every day. Lilli is a kind friend who looks out for those around her. She raises the positive vibes in the room and is a lovely addition to the Flex family.
