Homer High School

Monday, Oct. 7 — Big Booster Club Meeting in the staff lounge at 6:20 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 8 — Volleyball v. Soldotna in the Alice Witte Gym: 4 p.m. (C Team), 5 p.m. (JV), 6:30 p.m. (varsity)

Thursday, Oct. 10 — Quarterly Mariners on the Move Awards Ceremony in the library at 3 p.m.

Drama, Debate and Forensics practice every Monday and Wednesday from 4-5:30 p.m. in B-106.

Homer Flex School

Friday, Oct. 4 — End of first rotation

Wednesday, Oct. 16 — Early release

Friday, Oct. 18 — Inservice day

Homer Middle School

Cross-country running and soccer began Aug. 21.

Today — 8th grade salmon project class visit

Friday — Cross-country running borough meet at 3 p.m. at Skyview Middle School.

Monday, Oct. 7 — 11th block week. 7th grade Language Story Walk with Fireweed Academy and Paul Banks Elementary kindergarten students. Instrumentals begin.

Wednesday, Oct. 9 — Basketball parent meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the library

Thursday, Oct. 10 — 8th grade salmon project class visit

Monday, Oct. 7 — Academic Policy Committee Meeting at Little Fireweed at 4 p.m.

Oct. 16 — Early release at 1:50 p.m. for Little Fireweed and at 2:15 p.m. for Big Fireweed.

Oct. 18 — In-Service, no school. End of first quarter.

Nov. 1 — Student-Led Conferences, No School

Nov. 4 — Student-Led Conferences, No School

Nov. 14 — Veteran’s Day, No School

Nov. 28 and 29 — Thanksgiving Break, No School

Big Fireweed

Friday — Fieldtrip to Anchor River for Salmon Egg Take

Oct. 3, 10 and 17 — Jon’s Math Club from 2:45-3:45 p.m.

Little Fireweed

Tuesday, Oct. 8 — Fieldtrip to Homer Middle School – activities with junior high students

Paul Banks Elementary

McNeil Canyon Elementary

Saturday, Oct. 5 — Garage Sale at the school. Contact the school to reserve a table. $15 for half table and $25 for full table

Sunday, Oct. 6 — Garage/bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school.

Friday, Oct. 11 — McNeil Community Council will meet at 1 p.m. in the staff lounge.

Oct. 16 — Early release at 1:20 p.m.

Oct. 18 — No school for students. Inservice day.

Oct. 21 — Picture retake day.
