Grow for it

Messages decorate the side of “Grow,” this year’s Burning Basket at Mariner Park on the Homer Spit. The basket was burned at sundown on Sunday. Despite a steady drizzle, about 200 people showed up for the annual event. Artist Mavis Muller faciliated the community art project with help from volunteers.
