Mariners on the Move winners announced

The latest installment of Mariners on the Move have been announced.

The award is given out quarterly to Homer High School students. Each Homer High faculty member selects one outstanding student per year based on scholarship and character.

Chloe Nichols’ Foods class helped with refreshments for the award ceremony attended by students and their parents, according to school counselor Paul Story.

Honorees, their families and the nominating teachers attended a Dec. 4 celebration. Second quarter winners were:

Shyanne Sallee – nominated by Mr. Newsted

Brianna Wise – nominated by Ms. Ciccarone

Rebecca Wythe – nominated by Mr. Tozzo

Karmyn Gallios – nominated by Mr. Hahn

James Campbell – nominated by Mr. Smith

Timmy Hatfield – nominated by Mrs. Hampson

Katie Lane — nominated by Mrs. Lowe

Alex Miller — nominated by Mrs. Felice
