Businesses in the Homer community have until Friday, Aug. 23, to fill out an online survey seeking guidance on the city’s future development.

The survey, which is open for business owners or managers in the greater Homer area, takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Information gathered from the survey will “help guide the future of Homer and to update the Homer Comprehensive Plan.”

“The information, ideas, and concerns you share about doing business in the Greater Homer area will help shape future decisions about land use, transportation, public facilities and services, economic development, housing and related infrastructure and programs in Homer over the next 20 years,” the survey website states.

All responses are anonymous. After the survey closes, the project consultant team from Agnew::Beck, the Anchorage-based consulting firm that’s partnered with the City of Homer to complete the comp plan rewrite, will administer and summarize all results.

Access the survey online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/HomerBusiness2024.
