Nationally recognized firefighting extraction teacher Ron Moore of Plano, Texas, explains different ways to save victims in an automobile crushed by an overturned object. He identifies the challenges of weak points in the vehicle and the different approaches to saving lives. Firefighters from the Homer Volunteer Fire Department were joined by firefighters from Kachemak Emergency Services and fire departments from Anchor Point, Alpine, the Pogo Mine and Prudhoe Bay for training in school bus extraction Saturday at the Homer Spit.
