First cruise ship arrives Wednesday

The first cruise ship of the season, the M/V Silver Shadow, arrives about 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Deep Water Dock. The 382-passenger ship visits Homer after crossing the Pacific Ocean from Tokyo. It is the first cruise ship to visit Homer since improvements were done at the Deep Water Dock, including a new restroom building and waiting area. Another cruise ship, the M/V Amsterdam, arrives May 26.
