New life abounds in Dina Marion’s first-grade class at Paul Banks Elementary School with the hatching of these four chicks. After enjoying some special attention from Marion’s students, these 10-day-old chicks will make the transition from classroom to private homes. Sharing quality time before the chicks’ departure are, from left, Raquel Goldman holding Chloe, Diamond Ojebo with Lava Girl, Miriah Gassler holding Sherman and Joshua Rudolph with Shark Boy.-McKibben Jackinsky
