Weiss offers course, ‘Writing Motherhood’

Homer writer Miranda Weiss, author of “Tide, Feather, Snow,” presents a four-session writing workshop, “Writing Motherhood,” offered Saturdays 10 a.m.-noon Oct. 27 to Nov. 17 at the R.E.C. Room.

“Motherhood can be such a paradox — feeling at the center of the world and simultaneously isolated,” Weiss said. “This class is going to use motherhood as an inspiration — and an excuse — for creative writing.”

Starting Oct. 25, Weiss also offers a “Writing Playgroup” 2-3 p.m. Thursday afternoons at Sprout for parents who want “to carve out a little adult brain time” while babies and toddlers play.
