No snow but plenty of community fun

The Anchor Point Snow Rondi parade took place on Saturday.

The Anchor Point Snow Rondi parade on Saturday reflected organizers’ continued efforts to make the annual winter festival bigger and better than ever, with more than a dozen participants including local organizations, community members and even a couple of groups out of Homer.

Anchor Point residents flocked the parade route, which started at Greatland Worship Center on School Street and wound around to Milo Fritz Avenue before ending at the Virl “Pa” Haga VFW Post 10221. Returning participants included VFW staff, the Anchor Point Senior Center, Chapman School cheerleaders, Western Emergency Services, and more.

This year’s parade also welcomed Kachemak Bay Recovery and the Krewe of Gambrinus.
