Pet of the Week: Norbie

Norbie is a 4-year-old male. Norbie is a bit shy, but once he trusts and gets a taste of petting he will knead like crazy, giving great massages. He is a gentle giant. Norbie gets along with other cats. He came to the shelter with 13 other cats and is often overlooked. He has slowly but steadily found his way in to the hearts of the staff, making him a favorite. Shhh, don’t tell any of the others! His fur is so matted that he will get a full on lion cut this week — this is sure to make this big guy’s comfort level increase ten fold. You wont be sorry to hang with this lovable, chill dude.

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
