The rain couldn’t dampen the festivities at Ye Olde Harvest Festival last weekend. Karen Hornaday Park was brought back to the Renaissance with live music performances, food and handicrafts vendors, live sparring and LARPing bouts and more.

In addition to local vendors, artists and performers also traveled down from the central peninsula and Anchorage to take part in the brand-new rendition of Homer’s Renaissance fair. On-site were Homer’s own Barony of IceFire Bay; the Black Pearl, a 30-foot pirate ship outfitted with cannons and a literal skeleton crew; Anchorage’s Twisted Tadpole bringing “Fractured Fairytales” puppet shows; and a wide cast of musicians playing on the main stage throughout the day.
