Trooper Report

Nov. 24

Alaska State Troopers at 2:48 p.m. made a traffic stop on the driver of a 2001 Jeep on the Sterling Highway near West Hill Road. Troopers said the driver, a 50-year-old Anchor Point man, drove while his license was revoked and that he had two outstanding warrants for petition to revoke probation and driving while license revoked. Troopers arrested the man.

A caller at 9:53 a.m. reported suspicious circumstances at a Spit address.

A person at 11:59 a.m. made a 911 call and then hung up. On a call back the person said the call was medical related, but refused to have medics respond.

Nov. 20

Alaska State Troopers at 6:18 p.m. went to a vehicle rollover on the Sterling Highway near Anchor Point. A 60-year-old Anchor Point man lost control of his 1992 Subaru, and the car left the road and rolled over. The man was taken to South Peninsula Hospital. The car had minor damage.

Nov. 13

A caller at 9:15 a.m. reported a civil issue regarding child custody. The person later came by the police station at 1 p.m. and asked officers to do a welfare check on another person. Police did the check and found all was OK.

A caller at 12:21 p.m. reporting losing a wallet.

Police at 3:37 p.m. assisted EMTs on a medical call at a Fairview Avenue address.

A caller at 4:36 p.m. reported a hit-and-run crash.

Alaska State Troopers at 8:35 p.m. went to a single-vehicle rollover on the Old Sterling Highway near Anchor Point. Troopers said a 60-year-old Anchor Point man lost control of his 1988 Ford truck, and it left the road and rolled over. The man escaped injury but the truck had major damage.

A caller at 7:58 a.m. reported an unknown person slept at a Pioneer Avenue business.

Police at 3:51 p.m. patrolled Bishop’s Beach and spoke with a person regarding parking on the storm berm.

Police at 8:46 p.m. assisted EMTs in responding to an incident on W. Tulin Terrace Boulevard.

A caller at 9:50 p.m. asked to speak to police regarding a civil matter.

Firefighters at 4:17 p.m. went to a Pennock Road home and put out an unattended burn pile.

Nov. 4

Alaska State Troopers at 4:42 p.m. contacted a 24-year-old man who was a passenger in a car stopped for a traffic violation on the Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers said the man violated the terms of his felony probation and arrested him at the request of his probation officer.

A caller at 1:04 p.m. reported a dump-truck driver following too close on East End Road near Adams Drive.

A caller at 2:50 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man who appeared to be living out of his pickup truck parked on the Spit. Police checked on the man and found all was OK; he was waiting for the ferry.
