Salon Series is part of Big Read
The Homer Council on the Arts Salon Series this month is part of the Big Read book, “Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant?” by Roz Chast. Chast’s graphic memoir has inspired an evening of performance ideas. Director Jessica Golden and performers Chris Jacobson, Peter Sheppard, Jessica Williams, Katelyn Hawkins-Wythe, Peggy Ellen Kleinleder, and Carolyn Norton will address loss through many lenses. Ranging from vocal and instrumental music, to wry, witty, and comedic acts, this evening will reflect on the irony life offers. There also will be a presentation from Kate Rich’s original play, “Accumulation.” The Salon Series starts at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the Homer Council on the Arts. There is a suggested donation of $20.
