Information about fire, police and troopers is taken from public records consisting of logbooks and press releases.

Kachemak Emergency Services

Oct. 18-25

Emergency medical technicians responded to five medical calls and one fire call.

Homer Police

Oct. 19

Homer Police at 5:56 p.m. took into custody a 30-year-old Anchor Point man who turned himself in on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

Oct. 20

A caller at 11:24 a.m. reported someone damaged their vehicle in a parking lot. Following an investigation, police charged a 23-year-old Seldovia man with third-degree criminal mischief and violating conditions of release. He was arrested and taken to the Homer Jail.

Oct. 21

Police at 3:01 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 19-year-old Shaktoolik man and arrested him for driving under the influence. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Police at 9:26 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 29-year-old Homer man and arrested him for DUI. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Alaska State Troopers

Oct. 22

Alaska State Troopers at 9:27 p.m. received a report of a disturbance at a Lowbush Street home. A caller said the suspect, a 28-year-old Homer man, left the scene while troopers were enroute. Homer Police assisted troopers in finding the suspect and his vehicle. Troopers alleged the man assaulted a household member and endangered the welfare of a minor. Troopers charged him and arrested him with for two counts of second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, both domestic violence related, reckless endangerment, DUI and driving with license revoked. He was taken to the Homer Jail. After being arrested, troopers added another charge of unlawful contact after the suspect attempted to contact the victim by phone.

Edna R. Buchman, 38, disorderly conduct, violating conditions of release, Homer case.

Sheri L. Carr, 57, driving under the influence, fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons, refusal to submit to a chemical test, Homer case.

Tyler J.L. Hecks, 23, third-degree criminal mischief, a felony; violating conditions of release, Homer case.

Darren W. Riley, 38, improper use of registration or plates, Anchor Point case.

Trevor J. Savetilik, 19, DUI, Homer case.

Faina A. Reutov, 18, permitting unauthorized person to drive, Anchor Point case.

Charlie Winston, 29, DUI, Homer case.

Garrick S. Simmons, 28, second-degree assault, two counts, a felony; fourth-degree assault; reckless endangerment; second-degree unlawful contact; DUI; driving while license canceled, revoked or suspended; Homer case.

Klaudia Snegirev, 56, DUI, violating conditions of release, Homer case.
