Oct. 18-25

Emergency medical technicians responded to five medical calls and one fire call.

Homer Police

Oct. 19

Homer Police at 5:56 p.m. took into custody a 30-year-old Anchor Point man who turned himself in on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

Oct. 20

A caller at 11:24 a.m. reported someone damaged their vehicle in a parking lot. Following an investigation, police charged a 23-year-old Seldovia man with third-degree criminal mischief and violating conditions of release. He was arrested and taken to the Homer Jail.

Oct. 21

Police at 3:01 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 19-year-old Shaktoolik man and arrested him for driving under the influence. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Police at 9:26 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 29-year-old Homer man and arrested him for DUI. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Alaska State Troopers

Oct. 22

Alaska State Troopers at 9:27 p.m. received a report of a disturbance at a Lowbush Street home. A caller said the suspect, a 28-year-old Homer man, left the scene while troopers were enroute. Homer Police assisted troopers in finding the suspect and his vehicle. Troopers alleged the man assaulted a household member and endangered the welfare of a minor. Troopers charged him and arrested him with for two counts of second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, both domestic violence related, reckless endangerment, DUI and driving with license revoked. He was taken to the Homer Jail. After being arrested, troopers added another charge of unlawful contact after the suspect attempted to contact the victim by phone.
