The Virl “Pa” Haga VFW Post 10221 is going all-out this Labor Day weekend with an packed schedule of not-to-be-missed events in Anchor Point.

Kick off the weekend with Friday night burgers served from 5-7 p.m. Saturday ramps up the celebration with a kids’ coin hunt and auxiliary prize tree at 1 p.m., horseshoe tournament at 2 p.m., potluck barbecue beginning at 3 p.m., and a shuffleboard tournament at 5 p.m. The VFW will also host a steak dinner from 5-7 p.m., with live entertainment provided by Ivan Dennis beginning at 6 p.m.

A dessert auction benefiting Chapman School’s eighth grade class will also be held Saturday from 1-7 p.m.

The festivities continue Sunday with an auxiliary prize tree at 1 p.m., matinee bingo at 1:30 p.m. and a pool tournament starting at 2 p.m.

The VFW is also currently accepting halibut donations for a fish fry to be held Sunday from 5-7 p.m.
