Scholarship help appreciated

I want to publicly thank the Robinson family for awarding me with the Thelma and Ilse Memorial Nursing Scholarship, which was given in honor and memory of Kathy and Bruce Robinson’s mothers who were both nurses serving our country. Their generosity is incredible. I am putting this money towards my education into the nursing program at Simpson University.

Foundation support makes music

Homer OPUS wishes to acknowledge a generous three-year grant from the Homer Foundation. Through its Horn Section, JEMCO, and Opportunity Funds it has expressed support for providing orchestral performance opportunities for the youth of Homer.

Their ongoing enthusiastic advice and fiscal support enables us to provide a String Program Director for our existing Paul Banks Preludes, Fireweed Frescoes, and Homer Youth String Orchestra Club (HYSOC) programs. It further enables us to make every effort to expand our programs to, hopefully, include every youth in Homer.

Thank you, Homer Foundation, Horn Section, JEMCO, and Opportunity Funds.

Linda Reinhart, board of directors, Homer OPUS
