Homer 9, Houston 4

The visiting Mariners picked up a Northern Lights Conference victory Saturday to finish the regular season at 7-8 overall and 6-4 in the league.

Homer jumped on top 6-0 after the top of the second inning and Houston was never able to significantly cut into that lead.

Preston Stanislaw was 3 for 5 with two runs and two RBIs to lead Homer, while CJ Burns was 2 for 5, Malachi Raymond was 2 for 5 with two runs, Camden Wise scored two runs and Oak Anderson was 2 for 4.

Wise went all seven innings on the mound, giving up four runs — one earned — on five hits while walking four and striking out seven.
