Cross country draws record number of West Homer Elementary students

West Homer Elementary School’s cross country team concluded a successful season with the Orca Fun Run on Oct. 1. This season the team had a record 56 kids registered from the third through sixth grades. Over the season, the team ran at West Homer on the school’s new Nature Trail, the Homestead trails, the Homer Middle School Trails and even ran a day at the beach. The Fun Run was roughly a 1.5-mile course around West Homer Elementary and through the Nature Trail.

Top finishers in the fun run were:

1st Hunter Green and Casey Otis tied to win 10:57

2nd Trent Fell 11:09
