This quarter’s Mariners on the Move award winners have been announced.

Each Homer High School faculty member is tasked with selecting one outstanding student per year for the award, which is based on scholarship and character.

This quarter’s eight honorees, their families and the nominating teachers attended a celebration on Feb. 12 in the school’s library. Third quarter winners were:

Rylee Doughty — nominated by Mr. Felice

Alia Bales — nominated by Mr. Waclawski

Ali McCarron — nominated by Mr. Spurkland

Ksenia Kuzmin — nominated by Mrs. Nelson

Alicia Bianchi — nominated by Mrs. Hudson

Kara Super — nominated by Mr. Simondsen

Emma Sulczynski — nominated by Mrs. Taylor

Bergen Knutson — nominated by Ms. McCutcheon
