The museum is closed January. Business offices are open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday in January. The museum reopens Feb. 1. From 5 to 7 p.m. is the opening reception for “Encounters: Whales in Our Waters,” featuring the display of the Pratt’s new fully articulated gray whale skeleton.
The museum’s annual meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the museum. Scott Bartlett, curator of exhibits, and Ryjil Christianson, director of education, give a presentation, “Pratt 2.0: Envisioneering a New Museumization, or, Down By the Way, Where the New Pratt Grows.” The annual meeting also includes board of directors election results, a business meeting and announcement of volunteer awards.
