Alaska State Troopers at 12:50 p.m. went to a possible sighting of a wanted 30-year-old Anchor Point man at a Mark Lane address. The man is a person of interest in several recent crimes in Homer. Police contacted the man and after a struggle arrested him. He was arrested on the original warrant and also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Jan. 24

Troopers at 7:45 a.m. went to a report of a car crash on Fernwood Drive near East End Road. A 50-year-old Homer man lost control of his 2015 Ford Fusion and slid into the ditch. The man wore his seatbelt and was taken by medics to South Peninsula Hospital for possible injuries. Alcohol was not a factor.
