On behalf of all the referees that worked the 3A South-central District Playoffs, I would like to thank and congratulate Homer for a job well done.

It was a great tournament. Big crowds, dramatic games, friendly people, wonderful hospitality; all the things that make Alaska’s biggest and most popular sport so special.

Kudos to Homer Athletic Director Chris Perk, Principal Doug Waclawski, and countless others who did so much to make this playoff a huge success. The planning and organization were outstanding, your beautiful facilities were immaculate, the attention to detail was amazing,  and the three days of non-stop action flew by.

It was an honor and a privilege to visit a community that shows such great pride in its schools,  is blessed with such outstanding leadership, and shows such dedicated commitment to education and extracurricular activities.

It was a tournament to remember. Thank you.
