COVID-19 causes Homer News office closure

Close contact to employee causes building to be closed to the public.

Effective Wednesday, the Homer News offices are closed to the public because of a positive COVID-19 test for a close contact of an employee. The office will be closed through Aug. 27.

“Given the high number of COVID-19 cases in the southern Kenai Peninsula, and a positive case for a close contact of one of our employees, for the public health and safety of our community we have closed,” said Homer News editor Michael Armstrong.

Some employees may be working in the office while others will be working remotely. The best way to contact the Homer News is by these emails or by calling the main number at 235-7767 and leaving a voice mail:
