Homer Electric to do cable maintenance this summer

Homer Electric Association is planning to repair some of its underground cables in Soldotna this summer, according to a press release from the company.

There was a large outage on May 12, around 3:40 p.m. that affected around 3,762 HEA members on Kalifornsky Beach Road, according to a release from the company.

The company has already started cable injection work on K-Beach Road from Bridge Access Road to Soldotna. The company stated in the release that it will alert neighborhoods that may be affected by the project in advance.
