Michael J Hilbert, 76, of Ninilchik, AK, passed away on July 28, 2023.

Born on April 24, 1947, in Evanston, IL, Mike was a good-hearted man who loved nature. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spent many peaceful hours in the great outdoors pursuing his hobbies. Mike dedicated 38 years of his life to a successful career with Commonwealth Edison. His hard work and dedication earned him the respect of his colleagues and the admiration of his loved ones.He is survived by his daughter Bonnie S. Hilbert-Jenkinson, his sons Shawn M. Hilbert (Misti), Dennis R. Hilbert, and Kyle E. Hilbert, and his brother Frank P. Hilbert, Jr. (Janice) grandchildren Collin M. Clapero, Olivia P. Jenkinson and Nolan R. Jenkinson along with nieces and nephews and several friends he held dear in his heart. Mike was preceded in death by his mother Rosemary J. Ryan Hilbert and father Francis P. Hilbert, brothers John F. Hilbert and Robert M. Hilbert.In accordance with Mike’s wishes, a private memorial service will be held to celebrate his life.May Mike Hilbert’s soul find eternal peace, and may his loved ones find solace in the memories they shared with him.
