June 20

Alaska State Troopers at 4:35 p.m. receive a report of fuel stolen from a tank near a home on Lunchbox Drive in Ninilchik. Troopers said about $1,000 in fuel was stolen in the fall and winter of 2012. Anyone with information on this theft is asked to call Alaska State Troopers at (907) 262-4753 t or Kenai Peninsula Crime Stoppers at (800) 478-HALT (4258).

June 24

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited an Anchorage woman and a Homer man for sport fishing in closed waters on the Anchor River.

June 25

Troopers at 7:30 p.m. went to a “report every dangerous driver immediately,” or REDDI, complaint of a person driving recklessly in a gold Nissan near Mile 158 Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers identified the driver as a 44-year-old Homer man and after doing a records check issued him a summons for driving while license revoked, improper use of plates and not having an ignition interlock device installed.

June 26

Troopers at 3:22 p.m. stopped the driver of car for speeding near Mile 168 Sterling Highway in Homer. Troopers arrested a 51-year-old Kiln, Miss., man for driving while license revoked and felony driving under the influence.

Troopers at 7:40 p.m. went to a REDDI complaint of a person driving a red Ford pickup truck recklessly near Mile 169 Sterling Highway near Homer. Troopers stopped the suspect driver near Mile 157 Sterling Highway and issued a 20-year-old Soldotna man a citation for driving while license suspended.

Troopers at 10:33 p.m. went to a report of a man found dead on a 4-wheeler trail near Mile 18 East End Road. Troopers said a 53-year-old Homer man flipped his 4-wheeler while returning from a ride and was found dead after he failed to return home when expected. Kachemak Emergency Services responded and staff could not revive the man. He was declared dead at the scene. Next of kin was notified.
