Sometimes we need to take a step back and relax, and the ladies of Homer did at the “Ladies, It’s All About You!” event hosted by the PHAT ladies, Promoting Health Among Teens. This took place at the R.E.C. Room (the youth Resource and Enrichment Cooperative) and was open to ladies of all ages.
The ladies who attended got to learn about juicing and healthy body types, from Ashley Gregoire, as well as yoga and stress relieving breathing techniques from Anna Raupp. Melissa Mika also was contributing her massage therapist knowledge with hot rocks, essential oils and her massage table giving hand, scalp and body massages. We also got to learn about polarity therapy from Catherine Thundercloud Nicholas, connecting with our physical and emotional body.
The event was a great success and we hope to be able to host another one similar in the future. A big thank you to everyone who attended, the local pros who contributed their knowledge and, of course, Homers Jeans, Elements Salon, Northwind and Alaskaloha for their awesome donations of door prizes.
