KESA board needs five members

To residents of the KESA service area,

For the past year the board of the Kachemak Emergency Service Area has functioned with only four members. The fifth seat was never filled, because no one has stepped forward, although the position was advertised. At this time, I am the only member from the west side.

We really need one more, from the west, since that represents almost half of our very huge service area. The service area reaches from about the Sterling Highway and south end of the North Fork Road, to the City of Homer, around the City of Homer, around Kachemak City, and out to the Caribou Hills.

We currently meet on the second Thursday of the month. Seat B is the vacant one.

You must file by Thursday, Aug. 15. Forms are available on line, or at the Kenai Peninsula Borough annex on Pioneer Avenue.

I sincerely hope someone will file for this seat.
