A man at 11:48 a.m. turned in jewelry found on the Spit.
A person at 12:32 p.m. made a 911 call reporting a road-rage incident on Lake Street.
A caller at 2:07 p.m. reported suspicious phone calls.
A caller at 3:05 p.m. reported a drunk person at a Pioneer Avenue business. Police responded and a man left the business.
A person at 3:15 p.m. made a 911 call of an injured dog on Main Street. Police notified the animal control officer.
A caller at 5:40 p.m. reported a dangerous driver on Ben Walters Lane.
A caller at 6:50 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a woman on Pennock Street. All was OK.
A caller at 7:47 p.m. reported a drunk person at a Hazel Avenue business. Police responded and a man left the business.

A person at 1:08 a.m. made a 911 call that a man threatened to damage property on Jenny Way. Police responded and arrested a 56-year-old man for third-degree assault.
A caller at 9:42 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man at a Hazel Avenue address. Police responded.
A caller at 9:59 a.m. reported a theft from a vehicle parked on Freight Dock Road.
A caller at 11:10 a.m. reported a theft from a Lakeshore Drive building.
A caller at 12:58 p.m. reported drivers in vehicles spinning around a Pioneer Avenue parking lot.

A caller at 11:51 p.m. reported a man harassing a female employee at a Sterling Highway store and causing a disturbance when asked to leave.

A caller at 10:15 a.m. reporting a person hunting waterfowl in city limits in Mud Bay near Mile 3 Kachemak Drive. Police responded but couldn’t find the source of the shooting.
A person at 1:21 p.m. reported a hit-and-run at a Greatland Street address.
A taxi driver at 2:05 p.m. reported a passenger did not pay cab fare.

A caller at 6:05 a.m. reported an open door on a Danview Avenue building. Police responded but didn’t find anything suspicious.
A person at 11:01 a.m. made a 911 call reporting a person violated a condition of release at a Jenny Way address. Police responded.
A caller at 11:40 a.m. reported issuing a trespass notice to a person from a Sterling Highway business.

A person at 12:55 p.m. turned in property found in the Lucky Shot Street area.
Two callers at 5:14 p.m. reported a disturbance in the middle of Greatland Street.

A caller at 3:21 p.m. reported a wallet stolen from a vehicle.
A caller at 2:38 p.m. reported a possible overturned vessel on Bishop’s Beach. The person later called back and said it was probably debris.
A caller at 3:56 p.m. reported a theft from a Sprucewood Drive yard. The caller contacted a suspect and the property was returned. Police advised options.
A caller at 5 p.m. reported a person bitten by dog at a Highland Drive address. Police forwarded the issue to the animal control officer.
A caller at 6:47 p.m. reported an overdue kayaker at Beluga Slough. Police notified the harbormaster, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Alaska State Troopers.

A caller at 1:23 p.m. reported a violatin of a temporary restraining order. Police spoke with the parties involved and determined the complaint was unfounded.

Two people at 1:30 p.m. and 1:38 p.m. provided possible drug information to police.
A caller at 2:07 p.m. reported embezzlement from a Spit business.
A caller at 3:15 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Lake Street public building. Police responded.

A caller at 5:39 a.m. reported ongoing animal issues at a Ben Walters Lane address.
A caller at 8:49 a.m. reported tools and a tool box in the road causing a traffic hazard. The owner returned and gathered up tools and the roadway was clear.
A caller at 8:53 a.m. reported people in a vehicle trespassed at Sterling Highway property. Police responded and advised the people not to trespass.
A caller at 10:20 a.m. reported unknown people trespassing at a Lakeside Drive home. Police responded and advised the people not to trespass.
A caller at 11:10 a.m. reported a driver in a vehicle backed into her on Greatland Avenue. She said she tried to exchange information, but the other driver left.
A person at 10:45 a.m. turned in to the police station a found phone. Police returned the phone to the owner.
A caller at 3:12 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a friend at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded and found all was OK.
A caller at 4 p.m. reported suspicious circumstances.
A caller at 4:43 p.m. reported a phone solicitor requested money and information.
A caller at 9:25 p.m. reported a suspicious car parked at a neighbor’s East Hill Road home. Police responded.
Nov. 16
A caller at 2:32 a.m. reported a man yelling in the road on Bunnell Avenue for the past 30 minutes. Police responded.
A security company at 6:41 a.m. reported an alarm at a Woodside Avenue business. The company called back and said the business owner had been contacted and an employee was at the business.
Troopers
Nov. 6
Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 66-year-old Clam Gulch man for fishing in Deep Creek when the river is closed to all fishing. Bail was set at $110.
Nov. 8
Alaska State Troopers at 5:59 a.m. went to a report of a car crash near Mile 66 Seward Highway. Troopers said a 36-year-old Homer man driving south stopped to help people in another vehicle that had overturned in the ditch. A 35-year-old Homer woman was a passenger in his pickup truck. A 30-year-old Soldotna man lost control of his Dodge Ram pickup and slid into the back of the Homer man’s truck. Cooper Landing Emergency Medical Services took the Homer woman to Central Peninsula Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Nov. 12
Troopers at 3:36 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 27-year-old Homer man in Anchor Point. Troopers said the man drove with a revoked license. A 25-year-old Homer woman arrived to take responsibility of the vehicle. Troopers said the woman knew the man had a revoked license and had permitted him to drive. Troopers issued the man a summons for driving while license revoked and the woman a summons for permitting an unauthorized person to drive.
Troopers at 7:58 p.m. went to a single-vehicle crash on Diamond Ridge Road near Belnap Drive. Troopers said a 61-year-old Homer woman lost control of her vehicle and rolled it. She did not have any injuries.
Troopers at 4:58 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 37-year-old Homer woman driving on Kachemak Drive. Troopers arrested her for driving under the influence.
Nov. 13
Troopers at 9:20 p.m. received a report of a disturbance in Voznesenka. Troopers responded and said a 25-year-old Voznesenka woman assaulted a family member. Troopers arrested her for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.
Nov. 14
Troopers at 11:31 a.m. went to a vehicle crash near Mile 153 Sterling Highway. Troopers said a 30-year-old Kasilof man lost control of his truck, left the road and hit a power line pole. The man wasn’t injured. Troopers notified Homer Electric Association, and a worker determined the pole would need to be replaced.
Troopers at 12:58 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 59-year-old Homer man driving a 1987 Nissan truck after seeing that the man’s registration was expired. A license check showed the man’s license had been expired for more than a year and he had been driving on an expired license. Troopers cited him for operating a vehicle without a valid operator’s license.
Nov. 15
Troopers at 8 p.m. saw two people in a Ford pickup not wearing seat belts. Troopers stopped the truck and found the driver, a 27-year-old Homer man, had his license revoked until Jan. 29, 2017. Troopers arrested the man for driving while license revoked.

Spencer E. McLean, 24, charge dismissed after suspended entry of judgment, protection of fish and game.
Frank L. Loosli, 59, Anchor Point, pleaded guilty to driving while license cancelled, suspended, revoked or limited. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; and was placed on probation for one year.
Justice L. Steiner pleaded guilty to failure to give immediate notice of an accident. He was fined $200 with $200 suspended, ordered to perform 20 hours of community work service, ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and was placed on probation for one year.
Dustin L. Culbertson, 36, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $4,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $1,467 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for one year; and was placed on probation for two years.
