Homer Volunteer Fire Department

Nov. 7-13

Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded to three advanced life support emergencies and 14 basic life support emergencies, for a total of 17 emergency medical services-related tone outs. In addition, there were four fire-related calls.

Western Emergency Services

Oct. 31-Nov. 6

Western Emergency Services responded to seven medical calls and two fire calls.

Nov. 7-13

Western Emergency Services responded to 12 medical calls and three fire calls.

Nov. 7-13

KESA responded to one fire and two emergency medical services calls this week.

Homer Police Department

Nov. 8

At 6:38 p.m., Homer police contacted a wanted subject, a 37-year-old Anchor Point resident, who was arrested on a $500 Alaska State Troopers warrant for violating condition of release on the original charge of misconduct involving controlled substances and taken to Homer Jail.

Nov. 9

At 2:57 p.m., an officer contacted a wanted person, a 33-year-old Kenai resident, who was arrested on an Alaska State Troopers warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of improper use of registration/title/plates and taken to the Homer Jail.

At 9:28 p.m. an officer contacted a wanted person, a 54-year-old Kenai resident, who was arrested on an Alaska State Troopers warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of fail to register as a first-degree sex offender and taken to the Homer Jail.

Nov. 10

At 9:45 a.m., at the request of Pretrial Enforcement, Homer Police remanded a 37-year-old Homer resident for violating conditions of release.

Nov. 11

At about 6 p.m., Homer police conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 38-year-old Homer resident for driving under the influence and took that person to the Homer Jail.

At 8:57 p.m., Homer Police Department received a 911 call reporting a disturbance. A 45-year-old Ninilchik resident was arrested for second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct and taken to the Homer Jail.

Nov. 12

At 7:12 a.m., a caller reported a vehicle stolen, then later reported they forgot they had a friend borrow the car.

Alaska State Troopers

Nov. 11

At 11:47 a.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of trespassing in Anchor Point. After investigation, a 38-year-old Anchor Point resident was arrested for first-degree criminal trespass (domestic violence) and taken to the Homer Jail without bail, pending arraignment.

Nov. 12

At 1:39 a.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of single-vehicle motor vehicle collision with damage near Mile 164.5 Sterling Highway, where the vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and then went into the ditch. After investigation, the driver, a 46-year-old Anchor Point resident was issued misdemeanor summons for driving while license revoked and reckless driving. During the investigation, troopers also contacted a 65-year-old Anchor Point resident, who attempted to lie to troopers about who was driving the vehicle and was issued a misdemeanor summons for allowing an unauthorized person to drive and false report.

At 9:38 p.m., Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle off Sandbeach Road in Anchor Point. The suspicious vehicle was stopped leaving the area on Milo Fritz Avenue. After investigation, the driver, a 20-year-old Homer resident, was arrested for driving under the influence. The passenger, a 25-year-old Homer resident, had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear for arraignment original charge driving while license revoked. Both were taken to Homer Jail.

Bertha Pauline Stewart, 46, driving while license cancelled/revoked/suspended – with previous conviction; and violating conditions of release for a misdemeanor, Happy Valley case.

Jonathan David Anahonak, 31, fourth-degree assault – recklessly injure; and fifth-degree criminal mischief – damage under $250, Port Graham case.

Arthur Romanoff, 33, fourth-degree assault – recklessly injure, Nanwalek case.

Crystal Maria Prescott, 38, driving under the influence – alcohol or controlled substance, Homer case.

Regina Larae Blake, 45, second-degree harassment – offensive physical contact; and disorderly conduct – creating a hazardous condition, Homer case.

Aaron Mark Isenhour, 38, first-degree criminal trespass – in a dwelling, Anchor Point case.

Ann Laverne Graham, 20, driving under the influence – alcohol or controlled substance, Anchor Point case.

Peter Jacob Shutt, 65, permitting unauthorized person to drive; and false information/report, Anchor Point case.

Bertha Pauline Stewart, 46, driving while license cancelled/revoked/suspended – with previous conviction, and reckless driving, Anchor Point case.
