A woman at 1:40 p.m. came to the police station and reported fraud.
A caller at 5:31 p.m. reported a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot of a Sterling Highway business.

Police at 3:56 a.m. did a welfare check following a suspicious phone call from a Hohe Street address. Police could not find the subject.
A caller at 11:56 a.m. asked to speak with police regarding threats. An officer provided options.
An officer at 11:22 a.m. attempted to serve a writ of assistance at a Shirley Court address.
A caller at 1:51 p.m. reported an attempted scam.
Police at 3:39 p.m. contacted a wanted person at a Sterling Highway address. Police arrested the person, a 48-year-old woman, on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

A woman at 7:50 p.m. came to the police station to report her vehicle had been hit by someone unknown.

A person at 1:38 p.m. turned in a found iPod at the station.
A person at 2:30 p.m. came to the station and asked to speak with an office regarding animal cruelty.
A caller at 6:01 p.m. reported a possible tobacco violation.

Police at 2:49 a.m. did a check of a public restroom at WKFL Park.
A caller at 8:02 a.m. reported a person sleeping in the lobby of a Heath Street business. Police responded and had the person removed and issued a trespass notice.
A caller at 12:57 p.m. reported a hit-and-run crash on the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 3:50 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Herndon Drive address. The person called back at 8:28 p.m. and asked police to do another welfare check. Police responded.

A caller at 7:56 a.m. reported a possible injured moose on the Sterling Highway near West Hill Road. Police responded but could not find the moose.
A caller at 9:10 a.m. reported a theft from a vehicle and vandalism at a Sterling Highway address.
A caller at 10:50 a.m. reported a trespassed man at a Main Street address. Police responded.

A caller at 2:34 p.m. reported a man known to the caller following them in a car near Mile 3 East End Road. Police advised the caller to drive to a safe location.

A person at 8:11 p.m. made a 911 call of drunk people leaving a Pioneer Avenue business who might driving away. The person called back and said they got into a cab.

A caller at 1:13 a.m. reported a juvenile was late coming home.
A caller at 8:05 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle on Paintbrush Court. Police responded.
A person at 9:29 a.m. made a 911 call for fight between two men at a Fish Dock Road business. Police responded and separated the parties.
A caller at 9:43 a.m. reported a hit-and-run crash on Heath Street.
A caller at 12:10 p.m. reported he found drug paraphernalia at an East End Road address.
A caller at 3:50 p.m. suggested police be on the lookout for a person who might be in possession of stolen items.
A caller at 5:49 p.m. reported a sick moose calf on Kachemak Drive. Police notified the proper agency.
Police at 11:51 p.m. made a check of public restrooms on West Pioneer Avenue.
March 12
A caller at 8:53 a.m. reported an expected death at home of a person at a Kachemak Way address.
A caller at 10:37 a.m. reported a hit-and-run crash on the Homer Spit.
A caller at 10:57 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle with someone driving back and forth slowly and parking oddly on Kachemak Way. Police contacted people in the vehicle and found they were looking for a lost dog.
Troopers
March 7
Alaska State Troopers contacted a 34-year-old Homer man driving on Greer Road in Homer after he drove his vehicle into a ditch and got stuck. Troopers arrested him for driving under the influence, a felony. The man had two prior DUIs in the past 10 years.
March 8
Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted a 54-year-old Seldovia man and issued him a summons for operating commercial Pacific Cod fishing gear without identification tags.

He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $330 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Ronald Finch, 39, Anchorage, charge dismissed, improper use of registration. He pleaded guilty to giving a false report. He was fined $50 and ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund.
Shaun P. Anderson, 32, charge dismissed, no motor vehicle liability insurance. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $1,500 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of electronic monitoring; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Timothy M. Taylor, 30, Anchor Point, charge dismissed, driving while license revoked, cancelled, suspended or limited. He pleaded guilty to another charge of driving while license revoked, cancelled, suspended or limited. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; and was placed on probation for one year.
William O. Tate, 51, Anchorage, charge dismissed, driving while license revoked, cancelled, suspended or limited. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $4,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $1,467 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program; ordered to install an ignition-interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for one year; and was placed on probation for two years.
William J. Gittins, 30, charges dismissed, disorderly conduct, fourth-degree assault. He pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and was fined $5,000 with $5,000 suspended and sentenced to three days in jail with three days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to obtain substance able screening and follow recommendations; and was placed on probation for one year.
John Gunther, 49, pleaded guilty to driving without an operator’s license. He was fined $150 and ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $50 jail surcharge.
Joshua A. Hodges, 29, pleaded guilty to furnishing alcohol to a person under age 21. He was fined $500 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; and was placed on probation for one year. He also pleaded guilty to fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was fined $500 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended.
Carl N. Church, 59, Anchor Point, pleaded guilty to negligent driving. He was fined $150 and ordered to pay $10 to support the Police Training Fund.
