“Communities, Disaster and Change,” a traveling exhibit coordinated by the Valdez Museum and Historical Archive, opens with a reception 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Pratt Museum. Coordinated around the 50th anniversary of the March 27, 1964, Great Alaska Earthquake, the show features works by 28 Alaska artists that address the theme of natural disasters and the effects they have on Alaska communities.
